Welcome to the Toronto Western Hospital Liver Centre. The Toronto Western Hospital is a member of the University Health Network and is a fully-affiliated academic institution with the University of Toronto.

The Liver Centre is a University Health Network Centre of Excellence. The clinic was first established by Dr. Jenny Heathcote in 1979. Our main focus is on the outpatient care of patients with Viral Hepatitis and Autoimmune liver diseases. Our activities also include inpatient consult service, research, policy-making and educational activities. Every member of our team is highly trained, motivated and dedicated to helping patients with liver disease.

Mission: To help people learn about the liver and how to take care of their liver condition.

This website is designed for patients and health care professionals. It includes ongoing activities in our clinic and patient information resources that we trust. Please browse around and learn more about your liver and what we do!
